Gîtes or Guest Rooms "Panda"


This is a concept elaborated by the WWF in collaboration with the associations for regional tourism. It is a character accommodation, located in a region that is known for the beauty of the surrounding nature and for its protection. This accommodation has been built or renovated with natural materials. Moreover, the owner of a Panda Gîte is concerned with the preservation of the environment which becomes clear by the management of his accommodation (waste sorting, saving energy…) He loves his region and knows all about nature. Often he is a "nature guide", he can talk hours about it. He puts observations material and appropriate information at his guests’ disposal (binoculars, guides…).
